SeefCats Abyssinians
SeefCats is an established cattery in South Florida. We were very fortunate to have worked with veteran breeders as mentors; we have learned from the best!
With our great love for the Abyssinian breed, we are committed to raising beautiful kittens with excellent health and temperament. The Abyssinian temperment is alert, energetic, loyal, and loving. Though they are not necessarily "lap cats," Abys are very people-oriented. These intelligent and inquisitive cats make excellent pets.
As a small, family cattery, we breed between three and five litters a year. Kittens, as well as retired show cats and breeding cats, may be adopted as they become available. We often have wait lists for kittens; it is best to say in touch with us via email if you are interested.

The Abyssinian
A highly intelligent cat, one that will quickly become more of a friend than a pet, the Abyssinian is considered by some to be a descendant of the sacred cats of Egypt. In reality, the Abyssinian breed was perfected in Great Britian in the late 1800s. It was brought from Abyssinia (now Ethiopia) by a British officer. The first Abyssinians to be imported from England to North America are said to have arrived in the early 1900s.
The coat, or fur, on the Abyssinian is ticked, giving it a warm and glowing appearance. They have large and expressive almond-shaped eyes, and large, broad and alert ears. Abyssinians are generally bred in four colors in the United States: ruddy (usual), red (sorrel), blue, and fawn. SeefCats Abyssinians presently breeds kittens in all four colors. Excellent health and sweet inquisitive temperament remain our most important goals in breeding thes beautiful and colorful cats.
