The company was founded by Audrey Ignatoff who is the President and head consultant. She has provided seminars and training for over twenty years and has writen The Art and System of Medication Use for Seniors: A Training and Resource Guide, The company will consult on setting up or expanding a Medication Education Program for Seniors for your group or organization. A full Medication Education Prevention Package is also available.
Ms. Ignatoff has been involved in fighting for the rights of the elderly and disabled for many years. As a Delegate to the Governor's Conference on Aging (1981), she proposed two resolutions that became part of the Nursing Home Reform Law of 1987 (OBRA). One part states the all long term care personnel must have 12 hours of training per year; the other part states that patients cannot be unnecessarily restrained, chemically or physically. She was also a staunch advocate of the ADA and worked with disabled groups in the New York City area. As Coordinator for the New York State Division of Substance Abuse (now OASAS) Subcommitee on Prescription Drug Misuse in the Elderly, she worked with health care professionals, including physicians, administrators, pharmacologists, and nurses to develop a statewide educational program on Preventing Medication Problems in the Elderly for both consumers and professionals. This program has served many hundreds of thousands of individuals and has been adopted by many organizations.
Senior Arts and Systems has now introduced a Video Production Service in order to meet your personal and professional needs. We specialize in providing video montages for special individuals and/or events. Also, we can produce a video needed in abuse, neglect, or medical malpractice cases.
