"Z" is our first Sloughi. I'd been interested in this breed for a number of years and in early 2000, I decided to pursue my interest. Luckily, I was able to add Z to our household a bit earlier than I had originally anticipated.
He has been an absolute joy to live with. He and Dixie are the the best of buddies and enjoy playing with each other out in the backyard. Z's speed and grace are breathtaking, while his sweet, goofy and loving temperment have won him MANY admirer's.
In early November, 2000, Z made his show debut in Gray Summit, MO. And it was quite the impressive debut. In three days of shows, he earned the necessary three Sg-1 ratings to earn his Int'l Youth Championship, he won BOB- Puppy all three days, 2 Group 1's, a Group 2 AND he topped it all off by winning Best in Specialty at the SFAA National Specialty as well. This was all done at the tender age of 10 months.
Z will continue his show career and will also be hitting the coursing and racing fields in 2001.
