BRANCH 15 HISTORY
Organized in May 1971 at Brooks, OR, Branch 15 is one of the many branches of the Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association spread across the USA. The object and purpose is to stimulate interest in collecting, restoring, preserving and exhibition of gasoline and oil engines; gas and steam tractors, power driven farm machinery and antique farm equipment.
Branch 15 is a non-profit organization, dedicated to provide a membership-based supportive organization to meet, share and exchange information and interests, conduct swap meets, carry out educational classes and activities for the benefit of both members and the general public as related to the collection, preservation, restoration, exchange, demonstration and display of antique stationary engines, tractors, drag saws, feed grinders, farm toys to kitchen gadgets, anything of historical value. We welcome anyone who is interested in preservation of antique power or the machinery it was used to drive.
Our board members are elected during our annual meeting held in December. The organization has no paid officers and depends solely on volunteers from the membership. We encourage both new and current members to volunteer to assist on committees to retain the enthusiasm, growth and stability of the club.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
General membership meetings are held at various places every other month beginning in February with potlucks and occasionally guest speakers.
Membership in the National EDGE&TA.
National liability insurance coverage for all of Branch 15’s sanctioned events.
Six (6) publications of the Branch 15 Backfire newsletter.
MEMBERSHIP TYPES:
Full Member - $20.00 per calendar year includes all the benefits listed above.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER- $10.00 per calendar year, an additional family member of the same household is a member of the National, which includes the National liability insurance.
NEWSLETTER ONLY SUBSCRIPTION-
$10.00 for six (6) issues of the Gas Engine Backfire newsletter ONLY. Available for individuals belonging to another EDGE&TA branch (with proof of membership card) or those interested in finding out more about Branch 15.
