Note: The original name of Wreck-Gar is Junkion. Notice the obvious transformation of Wreck-Gar from robot to motorcycle and vice-versa. The toy was based on this design. The designs of the Transformers movie follow the following steps: from original concept development design, to rough, simplified animation design, to final clean-up animation design. The designs of the movie, together with the animation designs of the first and second season of the Transformers series, which were carried over to the 3rd and 4th season, almost all done by Floro Dery, were sent by Marvel Studio to Marvel comics. Some Marvel comics' artists copied these designs for the universe of Transformers, and then some other person got the credit for it. Weird, isn't it!? One final note, Floro Dery was the design supervisor and animation character and background layout designer of the first and second season of Transformers series. He set the style and look of the Transformers series. He was also the original concept designer and visual creator of the Transformers movie and the toys associated with it. To recap, he set the style and look of the universe of Transformers.
