Caught by Rain at the lake.
A grandfather and grandson rode along on a large four-wheeler on a farm in a wonderful valley.    They were amused as we walked a roadside far from our vehicle, while rain threated.  The rain soon sent us back as fast as we could go.   Bluebirds, Chipping Sparrows, Indigo Buntings were near their house.  When they couldn't stand it any longer, they came to meet us and offered their large pond as a place we should check.  At the pond we soon found a Green Heron and added it to our list.  Then raindrops began to fall again and we took shelder under the trees as long as we could.  This was eventually  followed by a hasty retreat.  Photo taken while sitting under the branches resting and enjoying the raindrops in the water.       July 20, 2002
