"Sonflower Seeds by Sally Jadlow is packed with true stories, fiction and heart-touching poetry. Through engaging narratives Jadlow relates moving ways God has acted in her life and the lives of others. Her poetry, sprinkled throughout the book, is full of rich imagery and insights--and sometimes delightful humor. Readers can sense a fresh breeze of the spirit and tangible hope. This book, with its charming artwork, makes a wonderful gift."

A PEEK INSIDE

SONFLOWER SEEDS is a collection of poetry and inspirational short stories. The subjects are varied--whimsical snippits to prophetic exortations. The short stories range from a farm in south-west Missouri to the Red Light District in Amsterdam, Holland.

Sprinkled throughout the book are illustrations drawn by Louis Henry Jadlow, nine-year-old grandson of the author.

Gunnar's Story is a true account of a modern-day miracle Sally's family experienced last summer. It begins like this:

"The late-night call got me out of bed.

'Mom, get downtown to Children's Mercy
Hospital. Gunnar has been run over by a car and the Life-Flight is taking him to the hospital.'"

On a lighter side is a poem called simply "Knees."

Knees knock when frightened,
bend in prayer,
become horses to go to town
for small children
and a glider for colicky babies.
Knees are useful;
I think I'll keep them.

Come join us for a welcome respite in this garden planted by Jesus and Sally for your encouragement and enjoyment.
