About 4-5 months ago I was diagnosed with an illness called Pseudotumor Cerebri. In very simple terms, I do not have a brain tumor but my head just doesn't seem to know that. So I have all the symptoms of someone with a brain tumor. This is something that you live with for the rest of your life. Sometimes it goes into remission but most times it has flare ups. My body is either not reabsorbing or is making to much spinal fluid. So what happens is my head ends up with to much pressure in it. That puts a strain on my eyes, ears and brain. I have lost some sight because of this. Some of it has come back and hopefully some more will find its way back but I will still have some loss to deal with for the rest of my life. I think that my hearing has also been effected and I am going to ask my doctor to send me to an ear doctor to find out. The most frustrating thing with PTC is that they do not know why people get it. They have their theories but no solid proof. I will let you read the sites on PTC and let you decide for your self.
I also have a host of other medical problems that I had before being diagnosed with PTC. I have included sites for those illnesses and related illnesses. Researching my illnesses has opened my eyes to a lot of things. For example did you know that asthma, psoriasis and lupus, to name just a few, are autoimmune desease's? Well I will now leave you to ponder over that thought for now.
