"Thwip!" is a fanzine devoted to all comic books, with a special emphasis on those featuring Spider-Man. Each issue has reviews of new and classic Spider-Man issues, as well as reviews of other new comics. There are also interviews with professional comic book creators, covers featuring original drawings done exclusively for "Thwip!", plus assorted comic strip and comic book reprints, an exclusive original comic strip - "Tam's Feline Follies", and other assorted features that vary from month to month.
Subscriptions to "Thwip!" are available for $21 for a full year -- 12 issues, plus assorted specials. Most issues have a $2 cover price, but larger issues -- like the upcoming 100th issue (due in August 2004) -- have a higher cover price. Subscribers pay no extra cost for the larger issues, and the subscription price includes First Class postage.
The Marvel Zombie Society Amatuer Press Assoctaion (or MZS-APA) is a monthly collection of fanzines -- including "Thwip!" and over a dozen others -- each with a unique approach and perspective. Fan-fiction and original artwork abounds, and new members/zine contributors are always welcome. Check the link to the MZS-APA home page for details.
