I scour the web and look at all the pages sent to me about the attack and eachone shows the special love we have for our Country.
The U.S.A. has many problems but when it counts, we band together!

I ask you all NOT to forward e-mails about possible attacks without first checking the story out to make sure it is not a hoax. There are many going around because people are afraid and will send out anything "just in case it is true". They are doing more harm than good. To live in fear, gives the terrorists power over us. To lock ourselves in our homes tells them they have won. it says to them, "threaten me and I will bow down to you" .  Please, do not let them win.

A symbol of our wealth and power has been hit. However, we must remember,it was a SYMBOL. Lives have been extinguished but the flame in American's souls burns  bright & strong!
Now is the time to show your AMERICAN PRIDE...
Fly the Flag... but do it the right way.

Print out Flags on your computer  and place them in your
windows. Tie ribbons on your antennas and trees.

Do as you have always done. DO NOT let the terrorists
accomplish one of their goals! DO NOT live in fear!

As for the USA sending aid to Afaganistan, IMHO I feel
NO aid should be sent unless the Afgani people overthrow the
Taliban. They complain that the Taliban starves them... then get
rid of them and  we will help you. While I have no qualms
about going to war.... I am tired of us attacking  a country and
then spending  money to get them back on their feet. If you want
our help, you have to be willing to help yourself as well!
Here are some things you should know when displaying the flag:

The flag should be displayed from sunrise to sunset on buildings and stationary flagstaffs.

The flag may be displayed 24 hours if it is properly lit.

The flag should not be displayed during bad weather, unless it's an all-weather flag.

The flag should never touch the ground.

When displayed the union or stars should be placed at the peak of the staff unless
the flag is at half-staff.

When flown at half-staff, the flag should first be hoisted to the peak for an instant and then lowered to half-staff position. The flag should be again raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.

When the flag is worn or no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country it needs to be destroyed properly by burning it. Most American Legion Posts conduct flag burning ceremonies.
