Sunny Ridge Kennel has been breeding quality JRTCA Jack Russell terriers since 1985. While we are a small kennel and participate in a limited number of shows, you can find dogs from our breeding program performing with the best in the show ring, hunting field, agility competitions, obedience tests, go-to-ground tests and racing. But best of all, they perform well with the family, bed warming, lap sitting, ball retrieving and just being a buddy.
We are located on 4 plus acres where we previously rased someTthoroughbred horses .. but have gone to the dogs! Our dogs have plenty of room to run and we do provide limited boarding.

OUR BREEDING PROGRAM
Sunny Ridge Kennel emphasizes health, both physical and mental, for all our dogs. All adults are annually CERF tested (for any eye problems) and they have a BAER test (for deafness). We breed a bitch no more than once a year. Top quality care is given to all our animals and there are several play yards and fields for exercise. We sign the Breeders Code of Ethics. All adults take turns being house dogs. We do not believe in having our dogs live in crates. All the dogs are socialized. Some attend obedience classes, and Rebel is also a certified therapy dog with TDI. Puppies are raised in the house and all dogs kept for our breeding program have shown and earned ribbons in conformation. Most have also taken part in competative events such as Go To Ground, Agility, Obedience, Racing and Hunting.

If you are inerested in one of our dogs, please email us and we can send you our buyer questionaire and additional details. We do take nonrefundable deposits for reservations on most litters.
We sometimes have adults available due to a reduction in our breeding program. We also may place older retired and sometimes rescued animals.
