Mario Romualdo, Jr., and the entire Romualdo Family wish to extend our deepest condolences to all of the families of those who perished in the attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001. We honor every civilian, every police officer, every fire fighter, every rescue worker, everyone at the Pentagon and those who fought back aboard a doomed jet liner who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. May we never forget them nor what occurred.
While only the love and grace of God can comfort you with your great loss, be proud and try to take comfort in the fact that your loved one, my fellow citizen, my neighbors died... as heroes. Heroes because each died for one reason. They were Americans. They were also thought of as Christian and Jew.
Americans are a free people. A proud people. A strong people. A committed people. An influential people. A generous people. A caring people. Each engaged in the pursuit of happiness. Each worshiping God with the complete freedom to do so if they so choose.
There are many nations on the face of the Earth, most even predate history but one thing stands clear. The American thrives because he is free to do so. In just two hundred years, we have managed to become a nation and send a man to the moon while in some of these ancient nations people are still living in caves and urinating in their drinking water.
For those reasons, we are hated and envied by some, feared and respected by others, but regardless of what one's opinion of the United States is, it does not justify the worst terrorist attack in the history of humanity upon innocent men,
women and children.
Those who committed these atrocities wanted to hurt all of us but they have failed. They wanted us to live in fear but we will not. We refuse to allow them victory. The flag of our nation was lowered to honor our fellow citizens, but no honor was given to those cowards who targeted innocent unarmed people, most which just went to work. Our flag still flies high and our resolve is clear.
They thought that by destroying our buildings and murdering our citizens that the rest of us would be weakened. My how they were mistaken. They were dead wrong. We Americans have become angry - not afraid.
America is not Utopia. America is an Idea and a principle. Not just a place. One nation, under God. They have made an already strong country, even stronger. They have made us search our individual souls and made us to look to God for His help and His blessings upon this great land.
May God continue to bless America, and keep her the light and the hope of the entire world. May God protect our nation from any further harm, and we thank you God for the assurance that those who have committed these autrocities will one day face you as the ultimate judge of mankind. Remember to keep our nation, our leaders, our military, our intelligence officers and all government workers in your prayers.
It is our responsibility to protect and defend our nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We are the vangard of God's army on Earth. The Bible says that "We shall know them by their fruits" and we have seen their fruits of evil. To those Islamic fanatics and the loonie lefties here at home, your cause is not just and therefore shall fail. Goodness shall prevail!
