The Very Reverend Michael Abdelahad was born Charles Mitchell Abdelahad on August 2, 1955, in Pawtucket, RI, the son of Charles and Nora Abdelahad. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Providence College in Providence, RI in 1977; his Master of Science Degree in Human Anatomy from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ in 1980; and his Master of Divinity Degree from Saint Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, NY in 1984. On May 27, 1984, he married Selma Mary Elizabeth White, the daughter of the Very Reverend and Mrs. Gabriel White of Geneva, NY.

Father Michael was ordained to the Diaconate on June 10, 1984 by His Grace, Bishop ANTOUN Khoury at his home parish, Saint Mary Orthodox Church, in Pawtucket, RI. He was then ordained to the Priesthood by His Eminence, Metropolitan PHILIP Saliba on July 8, 1984, at Saint Anthony Orthodox Church in Bergenfield, NJ. From September 3, 1984 until August 13, 1985 he served as interim pastor at Saint George Orthodox Church in Little Falls, NJ. From August 14, 1985 until the present he has served as Dean of Saint George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, MA. Fr. Michael was elevated to the rank and dignity of Archpriest at the hands of His Eminence, Metropolitan PHILIP on May 11, 1997. In November 1997 he was ranked among the clergy in "Who's Who of Worcester", compiled by Worcester Magazine. He and Selma are the parents of three sons, Charles, Nicholas and Christopher.

The Reverend Deacon Seraphim Solof was born Jeffrey Robert Solof on January 18, 1960, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Charles and Caryl Solof. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA in 1981; and his Master of Divinity Degree, magna cum laude, from Saint Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, NY in 1985. On May 20, 1984, he married Marta Stupar, the daughter of the Reverend and Mrs. Michael Stupar, of Pittsburgh, PA.

Father Deacon Seraphim was ordained to the Diaconate on December 6, 1984 by His Grace, Bishop JOB of Chicago (OCA) at St. Vladimir's Seminary (click here to see ordination picture). After graduation, from June, 1985 until January, 1990 he served as Deacon of Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral in Boston (OCA). From then until June, 1997 he served as Deacon of Saint George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, MA, on canonical loan from the OCA. At that time, and at his own request, he was released from the OCA to the Antiochian Archdiocese, and remains assigned to St. George's. He and Marta are the parents of two children: Elizabeth, age 15, and Joseph, age 13, as well as Maggie (the Airedale), age 5.

During the week, Deacon Seraphim works for Sun Microsystems, Inc., as a Group Product Marketing Manager in the Software Systems Group.
