John Bennett and his brother in
law Ted came down to pick up
John's pup yesterday.These are
two great guys and I always enjoy
visiting with them.I still have a male
that I might keep.I have sold Gonzo
to Bo Bennett,so I should probably
keep a little 'G' to raise here.He
looks a lot like his sire.I never
thought I would sell Gonzo,but I
have more good prospects going
into this season than I have ever had.I have Diego who is close to finished and keeps getting better the more experience he gets and I have Skye who was practically a finished dog at 10 months old.I expect a lot from her this season,as all she needs is fine tuning.I have Kacy who at seven months old is getting very solid.I will have a few things to work on with her,but I fully expect her to progress very fast when she starts having game put out to her.I have Sue who got a slow start, but is showing something now.I am still on the fence about Nitro, but I think a lot of his issues have stemmed from being slow to mature. He is showing a lot more as he has gotten a little age on him.I hope he will be the stud dog to replace his father, although I can still breed to Gonzo and have plans to do so.I am especially looking forward to breeding Kacy to him, since they are bred so similar.I also have the little deaf male that is 6 months old and starting to tree for me.He has a great personality and I'm already very attached to him.I hope I can turn him into a squirrel dog.I love a good challenge..lol.He is recovering from being snakebit by a copperhead in his pen.It got him right on the neck, but he killed it and ate half of it before I noticed he was bit.
