Children's Eyes
What kind of world is my friend
that little children see?
I wonder if they see God first
because they believe?
Do they see strength in caring eyes
who watch them play?
Or mabye love through gentle hands
that guide them on their way?
Do they see the act of kindness
when they would be king-
or just enjoy their present life
while with their friends they sing?
And when the day is over,
and they close their eyes to sleep
do they look forward to tomorrow
with its promises to keep?
If this is what the children see,
then it should be no surprise
they world would be a better place
if we had childrens eyes

A childs prayer
God, maded my life a little light,
within the world to glow;
A little flame the burneth bright
Wherever I may go
God makex my life a little flower
That giveth joy to all
Content to bloom in a native bower,
Although the place be small
God, make my life a little song,
That comfort the sad
That helpe the others to be strong,
And makes the singer glad.

A Little Girl Gone But Not Forgotten
By Shannon
LITTLE ONE, LITTLE ONE,WHERE HAVE YOU GONE ?
YOUR GOING HAS DARKENED THE BRIGHTEST DAWN.
WHY DID YOU LEAVE US SO SOON,SO SOON?
WHERE CAN WE LOOK FOR YOU ?
OVER THE MOON?
ON BUTTERFLIES' WINGS?
IN THE HEART OF A ROSE?
WHO KNOWS,
WHO KNOWS,
WHERE A LITTLE ONE GOES?
WHERE I HAVE GONE,
I AM NOT SO SMALL.
MY SOUL IS AS WIDE
AS THE WORLD IS TALL.
I HAVE GONE TO ANSWER
THE CALL, THE CALL
OF THE ONE WHO TAKES
CARE OF US ALL.
WHEREVER YOU LOOK,
YOU WILL FIND ME THERE-
IN THE HEART OF A ROSE,
IN THE HEART OF A PRAYER.
ON BUTTERFLIES' WINGS,
ON WINGS OF MY OWN,
TO YOU, I'M GONE,
BUT I'M NEVER ALONE-
I'M OVER THE MOON.
I AM HOME

IT'S CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY
Up crystal stairs
Through clouds of silver
And down the streets of gold
The angels led her.....
A crown of jewels placed on her head,
Was her gift when Jesus said,
"Accept this crown of life from Me,"
"You'll live with Me eternally."
"This is the best present ever!"
"Thank you for saving me forever!"
"Oh, and Jesus, Happy Birthday!"
She giggled, happily.
"Accept this little hug from me!"
"Merry Christmas, JonBenet."
"Oh, and Jonnie B," God said,
"In Heaven, it's Christmas every day."
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONBENET!"

JonBenet was a beautiful and typical 6 year old American child. She loved pigtails, she loved kitty cats, she loved blue jeans, she loved standing on her head.
She was really good at standing on her head. I don't know how she learned to stand on her head. When I came out of the house one day and there she was in a tripod standing - she could hold the pose for half an hour. She loved to stand on her head.
She took a few gymnastic classes, but I guess they taught her to stand on her head, because she really could do it.
She loved life, she loved her family, friends and her church. She said to me one time "how much do you love me, Mommy?" I said JonBenet, I love you and Burke and daddy more than anything else in this world. She turned to me and said "you're not supposed to love anyone more than Jesus."
So, she knew the truth. She is with Him now, and we'll be together one of these days.
She was excited about school. She had her hair in braids, said she was wearing them in pigtail braids. She had an Atlanta backpack that her grandma gave her, and she wore a little kitty cat outfit with a little kitten on the front and she just tripped right in there. She was really excited about going.
That was kindergarten - she never made it to first grade.

To JonBenet..We miss your silly smile and grass stained knees. We miss your flag dance routine and the way you would plead for fireworks after dark. We miss playing on the swing set and picking blueberries by the driveway. We miss riding decorated bikes, swimming in the pool, and swinging on sky chairs. We miss going to the beach to watch the sunset and skipping rocks in Lake Michigan. We miss sliding down the hill in cardboard boxes after spending hours decorating them with crayons and markers. We miss roasting hotdogs and marshmallows with you in the fire pit. Sister Socks, our cat, misses you too…”
