We are a friendly group of poets willing to lend a hand with your writing needs, just what a true poetic community is all about. However, The Patch has a No Critique Policy IN THE ROOM. Critique is allowed, it is just allowed in email or IM if the poet asks. Sounds reasonable doesn't it? Well, it changed Online Poetry Room history almost 6 years ago and was a challenge, yet well worth it!

Policy is simple respect for yourself and others as well as what we have listed below.
Please enter quietly, a poet may be reading.
Listing is done in the room, not IM, All are welcome to list.
Please Note:
NO Critique Is Allowed IN THE ROOM.
You are welcome to email or IM the poet with suggestions IF they ask before or after their reading.
This is a reasonable request.
No Graphic Pornography ~ Tasteful Erotica is Welcome.
No Tag Poetry during scheduled hosted hours.
Improv is acceptable if 3 minutes or under - A courtesy to those waiting
