Lake Level---------- down 13.35 feet
Surface temp. ------ 71 degrees
Water Clarity------Main lake is clear, creeks are slightly stained.
STRIPERS
The striper fishing has been great on Lake Lanier this week. Our boats have caught many stripers up to 30 pounds on freelined bluebacks and Redfins. There are fish scattered from the mouths to the middle of 6 mile, Flat, Chestatee Bay, Bald Ridge, Shoal, Orr, and from Gainesville Creek to Little River. You can purchase bluebacks at Hammond’s Fishing Center (770)-888-6898) or (770)-889-2995.
Bass
The bass fishing is also good on Lake Lanier right now. The fish are moving shallow and we have had many good reports of people doing well on jigs, fishhead spins, jerk baits, Spooks, and spinner baits. Green or sand colored Zoom worms on a Spotsticker jighead will produce very well on points and around docks.
Crappie
We've had many people come by the store this week and say the crappie fishing is very good on minnows around docks and blowdowns in the back of most stained creeks. Look in the back of 6 mile, 4 mile, Wahoo, Yellow creek, and in Toto creek.
