Drug law reform offers a new approach to dealing with drug use.
The war on drugs obviously is not working. Just check out these
facts.
87.7 million Americans have used an illegal drug.

1,532,200 people were arrested for drug law violations in 1999.
620,541 were for marijuana possession alone.

It costs $8.6 billion a year to keep drug law violators behind bars.

With all those people behind bars, and all that money spent, what do we have to show for it? Lot's of rich drug dealers?... yes. Millions of average Americans, who have spent time in prison for minor possession?....Yes. Less drug use and addiction.... NO!

Legalize Drugs? Are You Crazy?
De-criminalize does not mean legalize. The reform movement consists mostly of organizations that support drug law reform.
Our approach of trying to scare people into "not doing drugs", obviously is not working. America must change it's attitude concerning drug use. We must realize people are going to use chemicals to get "high". Educating people on the risks, and helping those "in trouble", is the only way to win,
