The winter seems to have vanished here in Washita, OK. Temps in the 80's, hardly any rain although some is forecast this week (3/2-3/3). Knowing how accurate the forecasters have been, even though we are this close to Norman,OK the nation's weather center, I doubt that we'll have anything to worry about other than recurring fires. These fires are now being suspected of being set by copycats. This was part of the reason I left California - FIRES. Guess there's just no getting away from things, no matter where you go, there you are....LOL.

I'm busy learning how to do Tunisian Crochet ( sometimes called the Afghan stitch). It's done with one needle that looks like a cross between a crochet hook and a knitting needle. That darn Millie cat (below) is supervising because she knows that the sampler "swatch" I'm making is big enough to be a blanket for her window seat "bed". Once I devise some interesting patterns for some useful things they will appear in this column.

The weather now is a far cry from what it was this winter when my place was looking dismally cold and drab. Gotta give the students credit....they came to lessons anyway!
