Tip Of The Week:

For those of you trying to develop your leading or following skills through
body contact, try the following exercise: Take a roll of paper towels and place
it just below your rib cage, (either partner). Take closed dance position with
your partner. Next, try to apply light pressure "through the roll" so as to
suspend the roll between each other. Start moving around the room, use basic
movements to start out with, ( forward, backward, side right, and side left). Try
to keep the roll from falling to the floor. If there is a large height disparity
lower the roll down to a height that works. If you're looking for an even bigger
challenge, try the same exercise without holding on to each other.

Here's a helpful pointer, keep your head and shoulder back by lifting through
your rib cage.

Have fun with the exercise :-)

Sincerely,
Terry Perrone
