The Triploid Grass Carp pictured here were purchased through the Albany County Soil & Water Conservation District in Voorheesville under permit issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
These three 12 inch beauties were released into the community gardens' pond, Peace Pond, to join the five introduced to the pond last year.These fish are known for their uncanny ability to control a wide variety of aquatic plant species to control excessive plant growth.
