To all of my Supporters, Fans and Friends

I have spent weeks thinking about what I want to do for the 2008 season and beyond. It has become very clear to me that this is not easy on my health, family or business anymore. With that in mind I have decided that the Little 500 in Anderson Indiana will be my last race. It will mark the 30 years as a professional driver in 2008 and I will be concluding my career while I still can on my own terms. I will fullfill my commitment to Don Heckman and run his car in the Little 500. Win or Lose I am getting out of the seat for the last time at the end of that show.

Driving race cars is all I ever wanted to do. I had teachers tell me in school that it was no way to make a living or to even to consider doing, but I was determined to do it. I was fortunate to have a family that loved the sport and supported me in my desire to become a race car driver. I have raced with the Kings of the sport, Shampine, Warren, Evans, Troyer, Andretti, Foyt, Petty, Earnhardt and the list just keeps going on and on. I have run small tracks indoors to the Daytona 500, I have met and have friends across the country because of the Auto racing. I have no regrets and the time has come for me to say good bye. . It has been a blast!

Thank You everyone for all of your support for all these years.

Doug
Welcome to The Doug Heveron Web Page. It is very exciting for me to have this page commemorating my racing career. It has been a long 34 years of racing, but I still get the thrill today that I got when I was 8 years old. There are so many to thank and I have tried to list most of them below.

I have so many people to thank. First I want to thank Julie Halsey for all of her hard work putting this page together. Julie took the initiative to put this page together and works on it everyday. She has done a great job and should be very proud of how it has come together. Thanks Julie it is awesome. Also, my brother Tom has provided Julie with a lot of pictures and information. I would also like to thank Sherry, Chris and Ciara for all of their support with out them this would not be the same and my Sister in-law Carol who allows me to steal my brother away from her for those long Saturdays we go racing. Thanks to my father and Oswego Speedway Hall of Famer Tom Heveron. He allowed me to chase a dream and helped me to pursue what I have loved my whole life.

Please take a moment to visit our sponsors and other links on this page. And dont forget to sign the Guest book.

Most important to me is the fans who followed me over the years. I would thank everyone individually, but there would be too many pages. Thank you all very much for all of the support. If any of you are in Florida please look me up at a TBARA event.

Thank you again for visiting.

See you at the races,
Doug Heveron
