Brownie Girl Scout Troop 195

Brownie Girl Scout Troop 195

Tanasi Council

1999 - 2000

Who We Are

Fifteen 2nd grade girls from Highland Park Elementary School in Lenoir City, Tennessee. Our town is closet to Knoxville, home of the world famous University of Tennessee. Knoxville is also known as "Title Town" because of the MANY National Championships our teams have won.

September 1999, we started on a new adventure. We began meeting every other Monday learning about our founder, Juliette Low, and Girl Scout ways. We had our investiture ceremony November 8.

Service Projects

Loudon County Domestic Violence Shelter

In honor of Juliette Low's birthday, each of us made a "Birthday Party in a Box" consisting of cake mix, icing, balloons, plates, napkins, utensils, and toys. These will help provide children living in the shelter with a birthday party.

Flowers for Our School

In celebration of Earth Day 2000, we sowed flower seeds, watched them grow, and planted them at our school.
