To create unique,realistic,detailed,impressions of animals, I research the Breed Standards for each breed. Photos of Champions are often used as a reference. Interviews with Breeders help me discover the unique qualities of their breed.I am multi-talented & have many facets to my credentials.I started showing Silver Standard Poodles in 1965. My Dual Ring Poodles have achieved many placings in the Breed Ring & Obedience titles in U.S. & Canada. In Jewelry competition Blue Ribbons have been awarded by the West Suburban Lapidary Club,Master's Jeweler Award at both the Midwest Federation Gem Show & Chicago Gem & Mineral Show,IL. State Professional Dog Groomers Assoc.,& Best Entry Depicting a Poodle at the Art Show at the Dog Show. I have taken photography at the Art Institue of Chicago,a recipient of many art scholarships,have a B.S. in Ed.,Jewelry Major from E.I.U.,taught Art 1-12th grades,attended Stewart's International School for Jewelers,taken courses by Gemological Institute of America,and New Approach School for Jewelers. I am member of Breed,Professional Organizations,& both my husband & I are Lifetime members of Fox Valley Dog Training Club.

Every piece of jewelry is handcrafted.

Some processes used-Metal Enameling,Reverse Bead Setting,Engraving,Fabrication,and Precious Metal Clay. A template is made of the design is used to transfer the design onto metl. Then the piece is pierced with a jeweler's saw. Next the stone settings are created with engravers or bezels. Soldered findings & my stamped signature is applied to the back of the piece. For enameled work the back is countered enameled to reduce the stress of the elements. After a base coat is applied to the front,the detail is begun. Each time the enamels are applied it has to be fired in a kiln to melt the enamels. It can take up to 6hrs. to create a piece.Custom designs take longer.
