When husband and wife, Dale and Terri Allen of Maryland, initially met in an online Gospel Chat Room almost six years ago, little did they know that their story would be one of legacy and hope for thousands of single African Americans who seek to claim a mate online.
The couple's new book, due to be released in early 2003, of the same title, "Claim Your Mate Online" ® offers the single person, seeking a meaningful and long-term love, relationship, and marriage, viable options to the customary dating scene of Internet relationships.
"It's rough on the Internet...most online dating is viewed as a single's meat market. But we seem to have found the perfect solution to how to meet and marry a mate," offered Terri Allen, native New Yorker, who relocated to the DC area in 1996.
"Ours ended in not only an Internet relationship, but a fulfilled and wonderful marriage", stated native Washingtonian, husband Dale, an avid golfer.
The Allen's have been married for almost six years and tied the knot only after knowing each other a little more than a month online. They corresponded by email for several weeks, talked by telephone, met, and married all in about six weeks. Husband Dale, for some unknown reason, had saved every transmission written back and forth by the couple. He couldn't explain why he did, he just did.
