I grew up in a small Texas town called Borger (pronounced Bore-Grr). It's about 50 miles northeast of Amarillo in the Texas panhandle. Borger isn't very big and it isn't famous but it is a very special place to me. I lived there from the time I was born until I graduated from High School in 1969. It's not on the way
to anywhere. You have to go there on purpose! Some people don't think it gets cold in Texas but I can testify that it gets very cold in the winter (below 10 degrees) and very hot in the summer (over 100 sometimes). After graduating from high school we moved to Houston, Texas.
I attended the University of Houston and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1975 then moved to Fort Worth, TX where I attended and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1979. I met and married my wife Peggy Brooks while in Seminary. We have 3 sons. Daniel is 25, Andrew is 23 and Timothy is 19.

My oldest son, Daniel married Stepenie Gifford in Nov 2003. They live in Broken Arrow, OK. Stephenie's picture is in our family photo which you see below. Andrew entered the Navy in 2001and is . He is presently serving in Iraq and that's about all I know. Timothy the youngest is training to be a Fireman/EMT/Search and Rescue Specialist. Peggy and I have been separated since September 1996. She lives in Broken Arrow, OK which is on the south side of Tulsa.
I am an ordained Southern Baptist Minister and have served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Florida, which is where I now live. We moved to Sarasota, Fl in November 1990 and I served a church here for two years. I resigned from my position at Sarasota Baptist Church in August 1992 and was in commission sales for 5 years. I sold health insurance for 2 years then worked for J. M. Stewart Corporation for 3 years selling church signs. I didn't enjoy selling health insurance but enjoyed designing and selling church signs.

Presently, I work in the IS (information systems) department at ADT in Bradenton, FL, formerly SecurityLink from Ameritech. I work nights to insure that the computers and alarm receivers are functioning properly. I monitor the receivers that monitor alarms from all over the United States. I don't handle the alarms that come in I make sure they come in so someone else can monitor them. In addition to my job with ADT I also work for Staples and repair computers on the side.
