Here's What I Believe!
I am an American! My family came to America in 1652. I have ancestors who fought in the Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War, WWII and I currently have a son who is in the Navy.

I believe in God and the Bible. I am a born-again Christian, a Baptist and pro-life. I do not believe in evolution. I believe God created man and therefore we are accountable to Him for everything we do.

I love this country and the principles upon which this nation was founded. I love the flag and do not appreciate anyone showing disrespect for what it represents. I don’t care if you are a Democrat, a Republican or some other political affiliation, if you don’t love the flag then it’s time for you to move to another country. We may not agree on everything but if you don’t love the flag we won’t agree on anything!

I love baseball, football, basketball and chocolate! I sometimes enjoy watching NASCAR, hockey and other sports.

I believe in freedom of speech, freedom of religion and the right to keep and bear arms. I am a member of the NRA and have a concealed weapons permit and Yes, I know how to use a gun!

I speak English! I don’t have any problem with learning another language but in these United States we speak English. If you live here and you don’t speak English then you need to learn it or go back where you came from.

I am a peace loving person and very tolerant of other people’s point of view as long as they don’t deprive me of mine. But if someone tries to rob me of my freedom or someone else’s I have no problem with fighting to defend these values. I believe in a strong military and support our President’s use of it regardless of what the UN or the French think about it.

I believe in working for a living. I am not in favor of government subsidies for lazy people. Our founding fathers came to this country with no guarantees and succeeded in founding a great nation based on Biblical principles. I have no problem with others coming to the United States under the same circumstances but if they can’t make it on their own or without help from their family or friends then they should go home. Government was never intended to support lazy people. Freedom provides us with the opportunity to succeed but does not guarantee success.

I am straight. I am not gay. I’ve never figured out how someone can be happy and gay at the same time and have never met anyone who was. I do not believe gays are a minority group and should not be treated as if they were. I am not homophobic, claustrophobic, or afraid-of-anything-phobic.  I enjoy beautiful women and beautiful cars and believe that being a gentleman is a manly thing. I believe marriage is until DEATH do us part, not until DIVORCE do us part. I work hard, play hard and enjoy a good laugh. I can be serious or humorous and I am not easily offended unless you are putting down, God, America, the Bible or someone I love.

I am a TEXAN and I love Texas as much as America. I have never met a Texan who wasn’t proud of being an American but we are all especially proud to be TEXANS! You can take a Texan out of Texas but you can’t take Texas out of a TEXAN!

I am honest and a straight shooter and if you don’t know what I think about something just ask. I am not a politician and have nothing to hide. I’ll tell you straight out. I base what I believe on the Bible. If you don’t you should. We may not agree on all things but at least you know where I’m coming from. I’m not into being politically correct. I am more concerned about being Biblically correct. I don’t care what Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw or Oprah Winfrey think. I am much more concerned about what God thinks and I don’t think He gives a rip about political correctness.

Now you know where I’m coming from. I am very comfortable with who I am and what I believe. If I have left something out just ask me! If you disagree you are free to share your point of view with me. I do have an open mind but I don’t have a hollow mind. I will listen to what you have to say as long as you can defend what you have to say and if we disagree I won’t lose any sleep over it. I will respect your opinion because that is a part of being a Christian and an American. If all you want to do is debate with me then don’t waste your or my time but if you have a real question or concern then I’m happy to correspond with you.
