Let it be known, The Veterans party of Texas adopts the following resolutions:
1. CIVIL LIBERTIES-- With the recent legislation and attack on civil liberties, we call for the repeal of all "big brother" laws. This includes the Patriot Act 1&2, increased surveillance, wiretaps, search and seizure, and the general erosion of the U.S. Bill of Rights and human dignity.
2. INCOME TAX-- We call for the repeal of any federal income tax (real or fiction), to be replaced with a 9% federal sales tax. The federal government can also raise revenue through private donations, trade and tariffs, much like Texas and other states, which have no income tax.
3. THE WAR ON DRUGS -- Since the war on drugs has become a "war on people" we call for the repeal of all drug laws. Prohibition has proven to create the problems of crime and others, by creating a corrupt black market. For a society to be truly free, a "war on drugs" is an oxymoron. Medical marijuana is a big issue in some states. All rights granted and protected by the U.S. Bill of Rights will be secure to all U.S veterans and citizens.
4. VETERANS RIGHTS-- U. S. veterans are the source of freedom and security for the continental United States and are promised and entitled to benefits, health care, counseling, etc. There are numerous reports of abuse and neglect within the Department of Veterans affairs. Enlistment and military service is a honor and a sacrifice, with the promises of compensation for said service. The U.S. government should hold true on promised veterans benefits. Currently, there is legislation pending to increase and improve veterans entitlements and benefits. In part, we support such legislation.
5. SECURING AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY -- We call for the withdraw of America from world organizations such as the International Monetary fund, World bank, United Nations, etc.
6. IMMIGRATION-- We support the slogan on the statue of liberty" Bring your huddled masses yearning to be free." This applies only to legal immigrants who obtain legal status, through the legal process. Texas is a border state, and has an influx of people coming from everywhere, many of which are not legal. Stop U.S. taxpayer assistance to non-legal immigrants.
7. FOREIGN AID-- We call on Texas and the federal government to end all foreign aid.
8. Bring all U.S troops back home to the United States. End all illegal and immoral wars, etc. overseas. No draft or conscription for illegal and unethical wars overseas. U.S. military role is protection of the continental United states and it's borders.

Meet the founder:
Jeff Davis from Austin, Texas, is an accomplished broadcaster, businessman, speaker, writer, and actor. Jeff served 6 years active duty and 5 years active reserve in the U.S. Air Force (1980-1991). During his military tenure, Jeff recieved numerous awards for outstanding military service. He was stationed at Wurtsmith AFB, Bergstrom AFB, Chanute AFB, Lowry AFB, Lackland AFB and Key West Naval air station. His duties included jet engine mechanic and logistics management.
