The TKA. is a nonprofit organization,
was founded in 1993
by Mr. Smajcha Niyomsilpa.
Now, with over 500 members.
We are men, women, adults
and children, from all walks of life.
The overall purpose of the TKA.
shall be to educate the public in the art,
history, technology,
and practice of building and flying kites.
To that end, we shall work to:

1. Share kiting information and provide avenues of communication among kiters.
2. Promote kiting as a rewarding form of art, sport, utility and scientific study for all ages.
3. Facilitate coordination and planning of kiting activities.
4. Maintain historic records of kite studies, activities and achievements.
5. Seek interchange with kite associations worldwide.
Our purpose is to educate the public in the art, history,
technology, and practice of building and flying kites
to advance the joys and values of kiting, i.e.
1.Safety and Ethics
2.Festivals and Competitions
3.Annual Meeting
4.Archives and Records Documentation
5.Education and Public Service
Classes of Members
1. Regular Member. A dues-paying person entitled to all privileges of membership.
2. Life Member. A person who receives all privileges of membership for life.
3. Honorary Member. A person that Association wishes to recognize by conferring membership without requiring the payment of dues.
4. Merchant Member. A member who is operates a retail kite or akite-related enterprise and agrees to give a 10% discount on kites and kite-related merchandise to members in good standing.
Membership is open to all persons
who favor the purposes of the Association.
