Recently I Met Two Of The Nicest People Whom I Won't Soon Forget. They Both Live Out In Hinkley Ca., Marie And Lucille. Marie Lives On Ten Acres And Lucille Owns Lucy's Market. Both Love The Desert And Both Are Truly Upset. Why, Because Their New Neighbor Is Nursery Products Of Apple Valley Ca. Who Wants To Bring In 100 Tons Of Human Bio-Waste Daily On There 160 Acres Of Land. The Winds Of Change In Our Desert Are Soon To Be Foul Smelling Again Thanks To Our Elected Officials. -DH-

There Was A Bear Cub In My Friends Native Juniper Tree A Few Years Ago, Every Time I See A Big Juniper I Imagine All Kinds Of Critters Living In Them. They Are What Gives Hesperia Animals Like Bear, Mountain Lion, Bobcat. Quail Lay Their Eggs Under Them, Most People Don't Relize That Triming Its Bottom Branches Destroys Their Nusery. Early Hesperia Settlers Recorded Thousands Of These Trees Jungle Thick In Places And As High As 40 Feet. Most Of The Large Trees Were Cut Down And Used As Fuel For Los Angeles Bakery Ovens In The Early 1900's. In The Past Like Today Some Folks Thought Native Junipers Were Shitwood. Our Joshua Trees Are Another Story. -DH-
