The (-1G), etc. indicates the number of generations before Erven Thoma.
His middle name is that of his maternal uncle John (Johann) Winge or perhaps someone on his father's side. His first name is after another maternal uncle, Aloys Joseph Winge or after his paternal grandfather's middle name Joseph Alois Ricklin (See his father's page).
All his siblings were born before him. One unnamed sibling was born before 1905. Sister Martha Ricklin (-1G) was born 9 Jan. 1905 and her twin brother, Severin Moritz Ricklin (-1G) was also born 9 Jan. 1905.

His father, E. Severin Ricklin, died on 19 Jan. 1919 in St. Louis. At that time the family was living at 4403 or 4403a Virginia.
I do not yet have the 1920 Census for this family.
The 1925 St. Louis Dir. shows Hedwig Ricklin (widow of Severin) with a home at 4403a Virginia. The 1926 and 1927 Directories have the same information. No other Ricklin appears in the 1926 and 1927 Dir. No Ricklin appears in the 1926 or 1930 St. Louis County Dir.
The 1930 Fed. Census for Missouri (T626_1235, supv. dist. 9, enum. dist 481, sheet 8B, lines 54-56, house #820, family #224, dated April 7) shows Aloys's mother, Hedwig Ricklin (her married name) as head of household. She is 53 years old, born in Germany of parents also born in Germany. She is not in school but can read, write, and speak English. She immigrated in 1879 [actually in 1880] and has the naturalization status as "Na". As a young child from birth her native tongue was German. She was married at age 25, is widowed, and has no occupation. She owns the house at 4403 Virginia Ave. where she and her family live and it is valued at $15,000. Living with her is her son, Aloys, who is 19 years old, born in Missouri of a father born in Missouri and a mother born in Germany. He is single and is not in school, but can read, write, and speak English. He is an accountant at an A & P office (grocery store). He was not a war veteran. Also living there is Hedwig's mother (Aloys's grandmother), Martha Winge [maiden name: Teichgraber], who is 73 years old, born in Germany of parents born in Germany. She is also widowed and has no occupation. Martha immigrated in 1876 [actually in 1880 on the same ship as Hedwig] and has the naturalization status as "Na". German was her native tongue. There is no radio in the household.
On the same 1930 Census page we find the family of Aloys' brother Severin M. Ricklin (-1G), 25, Severin's wife Grace, 26, and their son Robert, 2 years old. He was never in the Armed Forces.
