The (-2G), etc., after the names indicated the number of generations before Erven Thoma and his siblings.
Her parents are found in the 1900 Census for Missouri (T623_893, enum. dist. 150, page 5A, dated 07 June) living in ward 10 of St. Louis. Her father Christian Jaudes is 24, born in Germany. Her mother Miranda is 25, born in Missouri. Also living there is Miranda's brother, Andrew Jordi who is 28. Also living there are two boarders and one servant. Hilda has not been born yet.
--------------------
Hilda's birth (06 Sept. 1901) is recorded in the Registry of Births--City of St. Louis. At this time the family was living at 2753 Chippewa. Her parents' names are given--her father was born in Germany, her mother in U.S.A.
Her brother Andrew was born ca. 1904 in Missouri.
The 1910 Fed. Census for Missouri (T624_817, enum. dist. 216, page 250A, dwelling 46, family 57, dated 16 Apr.) shows the family of Christian Jaudes living in ward 13 of St. Louis at 3906 Shenandoah Ave. Christian is a 34 year old baker in a bakery. He and his parents were born in Germany. Miranda is 35, born in Missouri, who has no occupation. Their daughter Hilda is 8 and their son August is 6. Both children were born in Missouri. Also living there is Miranda's brother Andrew, 38 years old, and two servants.
I have not been able to find Hilda or her parents in the 1920 Censuses. I've even tried a country-wide search on Ancestry.Com. I will need to try the Soundex index search on microfilm in a library.
Around 1922 Hilda Jaudes married William Travis, probably in Oklahoma or St. Louis. William was born ca. 1891 in Missouri; he was 31 years old at his marriage. Around 1924 they had a daughter, Carol Travis (-1G), born in Oklahoma.
Between 1924 and 1930 the family moved to St. Louis, MO. I need to check the St. Louis Directories to narrow the date.
The 1930 Fed. Census for Missouri (T626_1234, supv. dist. 9, enum. dist. 469, printed p. 77B, hand-entered p. 13B, Ancestry.Com image 0653, dwelling 201, family 282, lines 82-84, dated 09 April) shows Hilda and her husband living in St. Louis (city) ward 12, block 2847, at 5531 Louisiana Ave. She is 28 years old, born in 1901 in Missouri, father in Germany and mother in Missouri. She is not working. William, her husband, is 39, born in Missouri, his parents in Germany. He is a secretary at a laundry. He is a veteran of WWI. They married when she was 21 and he was 31. They can read, write and speak English. Their daughter Carol is 6 and was born in Oklahoma! The daughter is in school and can speak, read, and write English. They own the house which is valued at $8,000 and they have a radio set.
Her first husband died after the 1930 Census.

Hilda applied for S. S. number 490-01-2955 on 3 Dec. 1936 in Missouri at age 35 when she was working for White Line Laundry Co. at 4150 Chippewa St. in St. Louis. Her birth date and place were given. The names of her parents were also given. She is living at 4340 Holly Hills Blvd. in St. Louis. Her last name is given as Travis so she is not yet married to Ted Winge. I do not know if her first husband is still living at this time but he died before 1939.
Theodore had a construction business at 4336 Holly Hills in St. Louis in 1936.
Hilda married Ted Winge between 1936 and 1939, probaby in St. Louis.
The St. Louis County Directory of 1939 has Theo. Winge, with wife Hilda, as a building contractor, living at 1325 Grant Rd. in Affton. The St. Louis (city) Directory of 1941 lists a Hilda T. Winge, vp-sec of White Line Laundry Co., Inc. living at 1325 Grant Rd. in Affton.

When Theodore applied for Social Security on 10 Oct. 1946, he (and presumably Hilda, are living in Troy, MO.
She died in Oct. 1971 in Zip Code area 63379 which is in Troy (or Briscoe), Lincoln County, MO. She did not have children by Ted Winge.
