Mary was born on 16 Oct. 1919 in Wayne County, Michigan. |
The 1920 Fed. Census for Michigan (vol. 96, enum. district 670, sheet 5, line 47-50) lists Mary age 3 months, with her parents and brother living in Wayne, MI. Her father, Jacob, (surname spelled Stupprich) is 26 and was born in Michigan. He is a laborer at a motor company (Ford?). Mary's mother, Elizabeth, is 23, was born in Michigan, and is not employed. Mary's brother John is 4 years old and was born in Michigan. The parents of all were also born in Michigan. I did not make a copy of this census sheet because it is hard to read. Enough information was gained from reading it off the microfilm and viewing the Soundex index. The Soundex code is S316.
