About Thousand Pines Animal Park
Thousand Pines Animal Park is a 14 acre home for Anne-Marie Begley and her dairy goat herd. Saanens, Oberhaslis, and mixed breed goats live here. We are guarded by Sequoyah, an 8 year old guard llama. 2 dogs, 4 cats, chickens, and guineas also reside in splendor and happiness in our Tennessee paradise.

Goats are Great!
I love having dairy goats in my animal park. I get excellent tasting milk from which I make cheese and ice cream. Goats are like big friendly smart dogs. They learn their names, learn a routine, love to greet you everyday, and are a constant source of entertainment and fun. Their love has gotten me through hard times. Having a llama is pretty exciting, too, especially when he chases off a predator.

My Interests
My job is teaching high school mathematics, which I enjoy greatly. I am seriously interested in animals, especially cats, dogs, llamas, and goats. I am a member of the Smoky Mountain Dairy Goat Association and editor of its newsletter. I am chair of the goat show at the Tennessee Valley Fair. I also love music and play banjo, guitar, mandolin, hammered dulcimer, trumpet, and other stuff. I teach these instruments to students of all ages. I perform music for various churches, weddings, fundraisers, etc. I conduct and play with adult concert bands and love jamming with friends. Music is one of the greatest sources of pleasure and purpose in my life.
