A DER represents the FAA in matters of Certification Engineering. I will help smooth the way for FAA Certification of your STC projects, repairs or alterations. The technical areas listed above, Certification Plans, Certification Processes and FAA Interface are my specialty.

FAA Related Experience:
DER ACTIVITY
-Working with manufacturer to obtain PMA showing Identicality by Test & Comp
-Several Engineering Orders for Part 121 Carrier
-Developed and managed tool box installation project in cargo hold of 727 for Major Carrier.
-Managed and prepared all documentation for several STCs for replacement parts on GA aircraft.
-Documentation for STC for Mode-S Transponder Installation on DC-9 fleet of Major Air Carrier.
AIR FORCE CERTIFICATION RELATED ACTIVITY
-Technical lead for AF/DoD MoA with Certification Service
-Air Force Technical lead on E-10A Cert Team
-Former Chief Air Force engineer for three major commercial derivative Aircraft
-Team member of FAA's recently completed Transport Category Aircraft Certification Process Study
-Coordinator between Air Force Project Office and Applicant on 767 AWACS Certification.
-AF Manager of STC for installation of a radar beacon on E-4 (747-200).
EXPERIENCED: Have 35 plus years as Air Force Engineer – last ten on FAA Certified aircraft.
SOFTWARE: MS Office 2K, RAPID, RAPID-C, AutoCAD 2002, TurboCAD 9.0
NOTES TO DERs – I am very good with cert plans, can research cert basis documents, have written several total STC packages including Cert Plans, Drawings, Master Dwg Lsts, Descript and Comp. Reports, Structures Documents, Installation Docs, draft AFM Supps., others. I can be an excellent asset to quick turn teams.
