Tennessee Tatter's Knot at Home!
        Greetings to East TN Tatters!
I've taken quite a long break from this page!
See below for a tatting class in this area soon!
My e-mail address is TNtatter2@aol.com

    This 'n Tat

Margaret Mitchell wrote in Gone With the Wind that
Scarlett O'Hara tatted yards of lace for a hospital bazaar.

In the book Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley, Rhett's
mother, Eleanor Butler, tats lace for one of Scarlett's
ball gowns.  She used an ivory tatting shuttle.

Share your own "tatting tidbits" and I'll be happy
to include them in a future edition of Tennessee Tatter's
Knot at Home.  Thank you!

Spring of 2008 I will be teaching a beginning tatting class at the Appalachian Arts  Craft Center near Norris, TN.  It is located off Exit 122 of I-75, just one mile toward the east.  The address is 2716 Andersonville Hwy., Clinton, TN.  Please call the center at 865-494-9854.

     Class for 2008

Tatting with a Shuttle (beginning class)
   March 29 & April 5  Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Call AACC 865-494-9854 for class cost.

I recommend using a metal shuttle with removable bobbin.  You will also need DMC Cebelia size 10 or 20 thread, and small scissors.  As I tell all potential tatters, you need PATIENCE, NIMBLE FINGERS, and GOOD COORDINATION!
I will have shuttles and thread available for purchase.
