With a 35-year tradition of serving the spiritual needs of the UW--Stout community, The Ministry provides an setting where all students are invited to participate. In addition to student gatherings to foster community, The Ministry also offers pastoral care and counseling, local service opportunties, retreats, recreational outings, and worship events.
The Ministry is a joint venture of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, and the Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to ecumenical activities sponsored by both the Catholic and Lutheran ministries, The Ministry also has a strong tradition of supporting the denominational identities of Stout students. Within the umbrella of The Ministry are:
