These pages are provided as a gathering point and a resource site for women born transsexual (WBT). It is a space where former transsexual women can express their feelings about who they are and what they are not.
We are women who were born with a medical condition that we have endeavoured to successfully cure through hormones, surgery and personal development.
Transsexualism is actually a straightforward medical condition to comprehend, but unfortunately due to a lack of understanding by some and a deliberate erroneous classification by others, we have become associated with various other sexual orientation based groups.
We are not transvestites or gay men, neither are we fetishists or part of the umbrella term transgender. We are simply women, and like any other women we may have our own sexual orientations. But they do not define our gender. A person's gender cannot be changed by lifestyle, psychiatry or religion any more than the colour of their eyes can.
There are two genders, male and female. In each of these genders exists a rainbow of different orientations and sexual preferences but there are still only two genders. We know from our very first consciousness to our last breath which one we belong to, it's innate and unchanging throughout our lives.
