I have been looking for a pepper mill that not every one would have in their kitchen. I started to search the internet for peppermills. I kept finding the same mills each time. I then found Robyn and Ron's web site. The pepper mills were not like anything I had seen. The colour of the wood was like no other. I have to have one.

I was out driving over to a friends house and realized that Robyn and Ron lived near my friend. I called to see if they would allow me to stop by and loo k at some of the mills they had made. Ron said fine, so I went. Several of the mills that they had been working on had recently been sent out through the post, but Robyn was working on one that I fell in love with. It was the Black Knight. It was a work of art. It was in its final stage of being hand polished. I had to have one.

When my Black Knight was finished I went to Robyn's and Ron's to pick it up. I was like a child in a toy store, I could not wait to see it. When Robyn un wrapped the mill and I almost started to cry. It was, is the most beautiful piece of art work that I have ever seen. I know that it is a working pepper mill, but this was art. The ebony wood mixed with the blood wood are a match to behold. The pictures on the website do not hold a candle to the actual product. God made the most beautiful trees that produce the wood that Robyn and Ron used to create my pepper mill the Black Knight.

MORE beautiful than the photos allow...and we DO understand what you

mills arrived at 11:10 this morning..(I left a message on your

answering machine!)....and we are absolutely MUTE with excitement...if

THAT makes any sense. The labor....the labor...AND not to mention the

labor of love that went into these mills. It's truly over the top and

we so appreciate your being available to do this for us and for the

Hi Robyn

Wish you could have seen the look of complete delight when my son opened the

package and laid eyes on the peppermill. He and his wife are thrilled over

it. He lives in the bayou country south of New Orleans; he's a school

teacher and commercial shrimp fisherman and a fabulous cook as are most of

the men and all the women in our family. The peppermill is now the center

piece of his kitchen and hopefully it will be handed down to family members

for years to come. It was used almost immediately upon being opened.

Tarzan and Jane arrived today. (You call them Lord and Lady Greystoke, but I've been reading Tarzan books for about 70 years so I use their first names.) They are GORGEOUS. I just ate a little cottage cheese with your special blended salt and some Malabar peppercorns. I am simply beside myself with pride in my new friends. They will sit on my table as long as I am alive, and then my second son will take over. My oldest son doesn't eat salt, poor devil, so I won't waste them on him.

I just got them 10 minutes ago!!!! What stunning beauties they are and I am crushed because my husband Michael told me that I have to give them up to the people I ordered them for. So I will be a good wife and do so.

I did want to ask though - I am going to order a set for myself and wanted to know if I can change the wood color to match the granite in my new kitchen. Actually I want to know if there is a wood with a blue hue to it? I want the 12" with the round top and also a salt cellar.

It was not our intent to not mention the "Princess Purpleheart". When we said "The mills are beautiful" we mean all of the mills are beautiful!!!! The Princess Purpleheart and the Black Knight are special and soooooo beautiful. All of your "stuff" is beautiful. The collection in itself is something special. We were not disappointed in anyway with any of the mills. Each one has it's special meaning and beauty.

Having the old card and the new card with the new design # makes the old card rare and adds to the antique value when our great-great grand children sell them??!!

It is nice to know that if something should happen to the finish you will take care of it for us. But, we are going to take great care of these mills just as your literature recommends. They are too special not to.

As soon as we get some sunlight in the kitchen (for natural light & it's been very cloudy), we will take a picture of our kitchen (with mills shown) to send to you. We may deliver them as Midge and I are considering coming your way within the next week or two. We would not want to impose on your time, so if it's o.k. let us know.

We would plan on arriving about 10:00 A.M. on the day we agree on - visiting with you awhile and heading out again on our trip.This trip we are not in the rush we were when we went to N.C.
