Several years ago we asked Tulsa actor/director/storyteller and our friend Tyrone Wilkerson to add his talents to a project we were developing. He came in and delivered a wonderful reading of an original story written with him in mind. As our "Jump in the Water" CD came together, Tyrone's story became the centerpiece for this concept recording of music, spoken word and storytelling. For those of you who follow the work of Triqueta Creative Group,
you can see that this recording was a forerunner for our musical "Roofless" which is now being developed for the Broadway Stage. (Tyrone also directed our second Tulsa staging of "Roofless" in 2003)
As far as we know this is one of the only times Tyrone's nationally known storytelling talent was captured in a studio. We are pleased to make this CD available once again in loving memory of this great man. Tyrone passed away several months ago, but his legacy lives on in tens of thousands of lives he influenced through his work in the Tulsa community.
