"A SONG OF GREENWOOD"

Although "Roofless" has gained the most attention lately, we still consider "A Song of Greenwood" our flagship production. The musical drama based on the true events surrounding the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot has been staged twice to worldwide critical acclaim. The 2 galleries are pictures from the second staging (2001) which was revamped, rewritten and updated from the original script and score first produced in 1997. A bigger, better version of the show is in the works now. We hope to stage "A Song of Greenwood" again during the Oklahoma Centennial, 2007.

Even though it was one of our smaller productions, The Edge of Town Dinner Theater showcased some spectacular musical comedy numbers and showstopping swing dance numbers. We were lucky to have photographer Lanny Ranier on hand to capture the 1940's atmosphere of the show with scores of photos. We have more pictures than we have room for but we'll try and get a good collection posted soon.
