About the Club
Tsunami is a club field hockey team which competes in various USFHA events. We have team(s) in the U19 age division(s). At times we also have a U16 team, or an open team of Tsunami alumni. Team membership is by invitation only, but we are always looking for young talented players. We recruit players from the Connecticut / Southern New England area.
We are the only Connecticut Team with Legacy Status, and therefore a guaranteed spot at Hockey Festival.

History
Our first USFHA hockey festival team name was Connecticut Independents. That was in 1994. The following winter was also the first year we attended the Indoor National Tournament. We have been to the festival every year since then under various names (1995 North East All Stars; 1996 Cape Cod Classic) until 1997 when we changed our name to Tsunami Field Hockey Club.
Our First U16 team attended festival in 2000.
