This website is now provided for historical/informational purposes. Sadly Tucson Traders is "on hold" until people with an interest in, and time to spare running a local trade, barter & local currency network come forward to revive the network. If anyone is interested, please contact the email address below. No issues of "Tradewinds" are planned for the near future, but this may change if enough people are interested in taking over the running and revival of Tucson Traders.
Tucson Traders is Tucson's local trade and barter network. Tucson Traders provides a forum where local community needs can be matched to local community skills. To do this Tucson Traders promotes alternative ways of trading skills and services to fill in the gaps left by the conventional dollar economy. These include barter, trading in Tucson Traders local currency the Tucson Token, offering discounts to members, cashless trades, doing voluntary work for other members and so on. We publish a Members Directory called "The Tradewinds" every quarter which provides Members listings & articles which we email to members. New! Our Personal Directory is provided on the website. To obtain the phone contact list you need to become a member. See below for details
Membership is free. Members should be prepared to accept at least 5% to 10% in local currency or alternative ways of trading when trading with each other.
