This is a triptych portrait of Princess Diana. I work in acrylic on ostrich eggs, then seal with varnish. It broke my heart, that at one of the happiest times of my life, such a vibrant person's life was cut short. I like alot of my eggs; this is the only one I've kept for my own gallery.

I've been a scribe for about twenty five years. Presently I am into making hand made books. I decorate recycled and hand made paper for the boards and use a fine paper for the body of the book. The book comes with a handmade envelope. I charge $20.00 plus S&H for my favorite quotes calligraphed in these fine books. Or for a fee I will calligraph your favorite quote. I like personalizing wedding and birth announcements. I've always felt it was a priviledge to be included in peoples' intimate moments. Awards, commemorations, beloved poems, even logos and signs for businesses have presented challenges and satisfaction.

The last four years I have been trying to master pysanki, the art of the Ukrainian egg. Working along the same lines as batik, the egg is created by drawing with the kitska with beeswax and then dying the egg in a color bath. The wax resists the color, so the underlying color remains where the wax is. When decorated the wax is melted, the egg is sealed and the finishing touches are applied. Prices vary depending on whether, chicken, duck or goose egg, the intricacy of the design,and the times dipped. The eggs come with a brief history and symbology of pysanki and a choice of finishings. These are goose and chicken eggs. You can specify favorite colors and patterns, or let me select your eggs. I can personalize and date your eggs. Though given as gifts of friendship year round, they make especially beautiful Christmas ornaments, specify whether you want embroidery floss/finding hanging or if you want the traditional two hole ribbon hanging.
