Regular Lodge 189 Events
Stated Meetings: First and third Mondays of each month at 7:30 PM. On the first Monday's meeting, we serve a meal at 6:30 PM. Whenever we have a Called Meeting, we usually serve a meal. Generally we advertise our meetings in the Caller Times classified section 830, Lodge Notices.
Floor School: Every Wednesday evening at 7 PM.
Eastern Star: O.E.S. Chapter 354 meets at our Lodge on the first and third Tuesdays of every month.
Our Lodge phone no. is 361/853-5189, and it has an answering machine. This machine does not get checked daily; on many days, the Secretary does not visit the Lodge. The Secretary's home phone is 361/992-1946, and it has an answering machine.
The Lodge is located at 4114 Weber Road, which is on the East side of Weber Road just south of the Staples intersection. We are the first non-commerical building past the Hamlin shopping center. McKenzie's Tae Kwan Do is just north of our building; McKenzie's has a tall sign which is easy to spot. The parking lot is at the rear of the Lodge, and Lodge entry is through the parking lot door.
Who's doing this page? Tom Wimberly, Lodge Secretary. Address me at twimbo@aol.com. Many lodges have much fancier web pages, with pictures of the Lodge and the officers. If you are a member of 189 and would like to become a web page master for us, please communicate with me.
