WHO’S DOING WHO?

“Who’s doing who?” Olivia asked.
Never looking up from her legal pad, Alex responded, “Who’s doing who what?”
“Am I? Or are you?”
“Am I or are you what?” She continued writing on the note pad.
“Doing!” She said exasperated, as her lover appeared to be more focused on her work than on her.
“Doing what?”
“Are you just trying to be difficult?”
Distractedly, she replied, “No, why?” while looking through a reference book.
“Cuz you’re nothing but questions tonight.” And you’re not paying attention to me.
“I am?”
“See? There you go again.”
“There I go again what, Liv?”
“Are you just trying to drive me crazy, Alex?”
“Are you there yet?” She wrapped her tongue around the pink eraser top and made a sucking noise, which ended in a gentle ‘pop’.
“Am I… there… what?” Olivia asked slowly. Then gathered her wits again. “Now you’ve got me doing it.”
“Doing what?”
The brunette screamed in silent frustration. “Just shut up and do me.”
Alex finally raised her head, and beamed, “I thought you’d never ask.”
Olivia knew then that she’d been had. And certainly would be again.
