Johhny Marionette

I've always loved marionettes and have wanted to make my own for sometime now. Johhny is my first. He is 14" tall from head to toe (21" including stand). His head, hands, and feet are made from Super Sculpey . . . the best stuff on earth! His body is cloth. I made his t-shirt and "pleather" pants myself. (ain't I the shit?). I hope to create a vampire marionette when I get settled in my new home. Perhaps a business will form?

Chloe & Whack

Chloe and Whack were created out of boredom at work. They will be the stars of a comic strip in the future. The sculpture was done as a reference for the comic strip. If you think it's cool to be rude or ill-mannered, Chloe and Whack will straighten you right out!

1995

This photo is really not the best at capturing all the details in this piece, but it is a collage, of sorts, that captures the spirit of 1995 as it related to me. Close up

Above is a close up of the lower middle section of the piece. "1995" measures 33.5" x 11.5" and is constructed of found objects, plaster, and acylics on half inch piece of wood.

Little Billy & Dr. Otto

Again, another artist in the Slave Labor stable. Andy Ristaino creates a comic called, Life of a Fetus, Little Billy and Dr Otto are my favorites.

Anne Gwish

The only thing keeping me from screaming is the aroma of my clove cigarette

If you are familiar with the comic book by Jhonen Vasquez, "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac", you will recognize Anne Gwish right away. Anne Gwish stands 11 1/2" tall and is sculpted from Super Sculpey. If you look closely you can even see the cigarette in her hand.

NNY

Sometimes I wonder why I don't just buy earplugs!

And here he is....NNY.... or "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac". Yes, I'm a FAN!! In fact the next sculpture is inspired by the art of Jhonen too!! But let's get back to NNY. He is 4" tall and sits on a 4" x 4" base. I liked this pose because it keeps me from becoming a homicidal maniac....I don't clean!!! Not even to hide my own crime.

Sickness & Spooky

If you have been fortunate enough to get your filthy little hands on Jhonen's NEW book, "I Feel Sick - a book about a girl", you will be introduced to these two. Sickness and Spooky. This is Jhonen's first colored work...if you haven't got your copy yet then turn off your computer NOW and drag your ass down to your local comic book shop!! You can always come back and view this site another day.

**UPDATE** I Feel Sick #2 is out now and there will be a Spooky squeaky toy out this summer.

Squee & Shmee

Little Squee (aka - Todd) holding Shmee. This was the very first character I sculpted. Again, a Jhonen Vasquez character.... the man's an inspirtation what I can I say. Squee is 3" tall and holds his teddy bear Shmee.

Lenore, kitty, & Mr. Gosh

The cutest little dead girl.... Lenore. This is a character in Roman Dirge's comic book of the same name. Lenore is 4" tall and holds her kitty ( kitty ceases to be...) while Mr. Gosh pushes his way back into her life. Check out Roman's Spookyland to learn more about Lenore and his other work.

If I Were a Serial Killer by tv-fisch

My first attmept at a comic book character. This 32-page mini-book explores a little girls career choice ... in rhyme. You must have this, you just know it will be a collectors item when I become rich and famous and it's made into an animated short for IFC or Sci-Fi's Exposure. If you want one just ask, I will only charge you two measly dollars.
