PAINTED DESERT SHEEP
I had been looking around for some time on the breed of sheep we would be adding to our farms breeding program in 2004. We have found the perfect breed for us. The Painted Desert Sheep are a up and coming breed that have all that we wanted. We love color, and they have it. Were not into wool breeding, so the Painted Desert Sheep are a hair breed, they shed naturaly. This breed is also known for there large and unusal horns. And being there are not any known breeders at this time in Virginia, we always love to have something that is different.
I would like to say a special thank you to this group. I have never met a more helpful, and just plain nice group of people like this. Special thanks to Nadia at Rabbit Patch Farms in Florida. and to Valerie at Lazy JV Ranch in Ky, in helping us on our way.
We will show progressive pictures as our lambs grow.
