Flexagon Re'Flex'ions

1 Thru 12 Flexagons

This Page Revised 1 Nov 2003
- all 18 different triangles have one even number and two odd
- triangles listed in sequence:
(blue in triangle, green in hexagon, black in circle)
(1, 5, 12), (1, 3, 12), (1, 3, 10), (1, 5, 10), (1, 5, 8), (1, 3, 8),
(2, 7, 11), (2, 7, 9), (2, 9, 11), (3, 5, 10), (3, 5, 8), (3, 5, 12),
(4, 7, 9), (4, 9, 11), (4, 7, 11), (6, 7, 11), (6, 7, 9), (6, 9, 11)
- curve estimation yields a symmetrical sine wave like graph for several plots

- frequency of the different sums obtained in the 18 triangles:
12 - 1, 14 - 2, 16 - 3, 18 - 3, 20 - 3, 22 - 3, 24 - 2, 26 - 1
- summed pairs are symmetrical in distribution, plus, notice the mirrored 1, 2, 3, 3
- coincidently: 12 + 26 = 38, 14 + 24 = 38, 16 + 22 = 38, and 18 + 20 = 38

- all 9 sets total 150 on outside and 228 when adding the 1 - 12 inside numbers
- two sets have outside numbers adding to 95 and 55
- the other set yields 89 and 61 for the respective faces' outside numbers

1 - 12 Faces - Set One - Set Two - Set Three
