This page is pure brainstorming about potential games and design considerations. There appears to be absolutely no boundaries as to the variety and complexity of games that may include flexagons in some way.  Hopefully I can keep this list updated periodically. So with that - let the 'games' begin.

- Ideas for games can be generated by examining all types of existing games and look for potential augmentations, adoptions, and other opportunities.

- Dice, number of dice, type of dice

- The flexagon could be used as piece to move with, it could reconfigure into either a straight strip or the two different bands.

- Different types of moves could be assigned as in chess.

- Number of pieces, solitaire, players, teams.

- Size of the playing field - board, floor, or more.

- Two or three dimensional.

- Length of game and how determined.

- Things happening like: capture, slave, kill, prisoner, attrition, damage, shields, regenerating, reserves, adding pieces.

- Terrain considerations.

- Flexagons in conjunction with other types of existing games and/or pieces.

Games could be created for solitary or even many players/teams. A creativity stimulating tool could be constructed by labeling the triangle sides with random nouns, verbs, adverbs, etc. For that matter, just about any sort of thing, not just words could be used.
Then, after a flex to a new position, try to imagine connections between adjacent lines, triangles, or other combinations. One could try to go further with making a game out of trying to make sentences or potentially logical combinations out of the terms available on one side or adjacent triangles. By adding the use of a partner's flexagon, more versatility in game design would result.

I’m sure that other word games could be designed. There are so many possibilities for things that might work for some types of flexagons but not others. Some ideas that might work for word games might also work for games involving equations, computer programming, and other combination/connection solitary or competitive challenges.
